guys, thanks very much for welcome comments, forums are invaluable! deal is taking its time, but I hope to have bike by next weekend; I had originally hoped to have dealer fit set of cans, but to be honest, I just w ant it up road; I have read a lot of stuff, but basically, if I want to fit a pair of cans, what do I need to do, if anything, is there any preferred options apt from akrapovic??

Welcome to the fold Dave and its wealth of knowledge on the amazing T.
The humour on here cracks me up, no doubt you'll get used to it.
Many after market cans available, and some at a decent price. I got Carbon can Co's for 120. You'll need to get the bike changed to Map 2 once cans on to get the full benefit.

as a very long term member of various clubs and forums, im well used to "humour" from members, so map 2, do I need to go to aprilia dealer for that, or can my local tuning place do it?

yep, I think I need to get bike, hopefully next weekend, and see how it sounds, just heard so much about needing non standard cans, I did have a FUEL can on a previous bike which was great, as you say, one of the few Scottish dealers is near me as I need an official one, jim allan, so can get them to sort it if necessary, thanks again,
