    Hiya from Socal!

I just wanted to introduce myself, I live in the Los Angeles area and have been riding for many years.

I just recently switched my ride from my venerable 2004 Yamaha FZ1 with over 120.000 miles to a 2014 Tuono A-prc with 3700 miles that I found with a salvage title.
I was a bit worried that the "Italian Princess" as my wife calls her might be finicky and not so reliable but other than a pesky hot start problem that was fixed with a Lithium battery the Tuono has proven to be a warrior princess if anything...
As this is my almost exclusive mode of transportation miles rack up fast and I hope she'll hang in there with me.

But I have so far always done my own wrenching due to general frustration with mechanics but that was on bikes with less electronics.
I took her to Pro Italia to check if the mapping was current and quickly realized that I really hate that I can't access that data myself. Not that I plan to monkey with the mapping but I would like to be able to troubleshoot without having to pay a lot of money.
So impulse-bought a Texa Navigator TXB which may have been a mistake... but I posted about that separately.

Anyway thanks for having me and keep the shiny-ish side up!

    Cheers

    Thomas

Thanks! I'm in Hollywood but I often work in Fillmore up the 126.
I am also quite fond of the Angels Crest the lower part that is...

Welcome and good intro. Feel free to post a pic when you get a mo.

I know what you mean on the diagnostics. Makes sense if you can do that yourself, especially if you plan to keep the bike long term and minimise maintained costs.

Yes I do, the lower part is gorgeous they repaved it and it's fantastic plus much less frequented than the other part.
