A Little Bit of Help/Advice Required

I've tried searching but can't find anything that helps, so -

Left the bike ticking over this morning in the garage, first time started for a few weeks, it's an 06 gen 2.

All was well until, I pushed the mode button, rear button l/h switch gear, and the headlights went dead, sidelights work & high beam works when flashed.
Also when you turn the ignition on the Rev counter only sweeps to 7000, I'm sure it swept the full range before this happened.

Thought I'd ask first before I start stripping things, on the off chance it's a common fault.

    Thank ya kindly in advance.

Will take look tomorrow, would make sense, the wife keeps hammering the tumble dryer causing condensation in the garage,
I'll post up what I find

    quick update,

there was a 20amp fuse which had blown, the dash / display had reset, i think moisture in the switch played a part, all working fine now.

The dash seems to be a weak component on these bikes. Mine had to be replaced under warranty because it developed stress cracks across the display glass. I think they are well known for misting up and therefore allowing in moisture.

I had the misting problem on my 06 when it was new, I waited until they changed the part number for it thinking they would have cured it but the bloody new one was worse than the old one. I ended up drilling two tiny holes in the underside which allowed it to clear a lot quicker.
