    1000 vs 1100

    Hey all,

If any of you check the first gen posts, you'll know I had my bike stolen a few months ago. After no theft insurance plus a car accident, its taken me a while to get financially right again. So now I am looking at the V4 Tuono along with the other liter nakeds on the market. I have to ask though before I commit to another T; is the newer 1100 worth the wait? I'm looking at used ones and they're pretty rare. But I also don't want to pay good money for a good V4 1000 and then one day test ride an 1100 and realize I made the wrong choice. Granted, money will definitely be a factor. Should I go straight for the 1000 and build it up as I get more comfortable with it? Will I even notice a difference during the few track days I do? It looks like all the motorcycle magazines say the 1100 is just more power throughout the range and the T's needed it (although I think the RSV4 does well without the added cc's even though its now a different engine.)

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm realizing too that since I left AF1's backyard, I will probably never see another Aprilia again until I ship my next one to me. Thanks

    The 1100 absolutely rocks!
    Love mine.
Also seems to be far less issues with the 1100 engines.
But there is probably some good deals on 1000.
    Fun bike either way!
    Good luck!

I love my 1100 RR, the factory is a bit too bling for me, I haven’t had any reliability issues but only done just over 2k miles so wouldn’t expect any problems, just about to do a 2k round trip to Valencia for the final GP so will report back if any issues crop up
