    Possible warrenty claim advice

Just after a bit of advice please?
This is off a 2016 Tuono Factory.
Is it worth taking it in for a warrenty claim or do I have to live with it?
Just wondered if anyone has had anything similar?
    See pic.

    Many thanks,
    Dave.

The bikes only 1 year old, if it were me, I take it in. It will only get worse.
    Thanks from Heppy

Had the same on my gen2.

Covered it with acf50 and thought about sorting it.

Never got round to it but it was a smaller default to yours.

Never got any worse after 6 years.
    Thanks from Heppy

If it was a 5 year old bike, I'd take it on the chin and replace the part myself. It is a year old and that's not acceptable wear and tear unless you keep it outside all year in a salt mine, which I'm sure nobody with a 10k + bike does. I'd insist Aprilia replace that.
    Thanks from Heppy

    Hi Dave,
With any warranty claims the dealer has to provide evidence that it is a manufacturing defect not a fault caused by the owner or due to miss use. I agree with Mikkel that you should report this to your local dealer, they will probably submit a warranty claim before committing themselves to any rectification work. This isn't something that has happened overnight and will only get worse. Let us know what the outcome is.
    Thanks from Heppy

Took it in to Via Moto today and they have taken photos of it and will be in touch. But the fella said he knew exactly what they would say and that was it was a stone chip?

Thats what I thought, then I thought one could possibly get trapped in the spring and if it is then compressed this would chip the paint off? Never had it happen on all the bikes I've had before, never mind one with supposedly top of the range suspension?

It's easily done, mine had them on it but the main damaged part was at the top.

Looked like it flaked off when the lockrings were turned.
    Thanks from Heppy

Just had a responce from Aprilia and they have rejected the claim, saying it is due to external influences.
Do you think it would be worth contacting Ohlins about it?
    Thanks.
