    Steering Damper reverse

Hey guys! This is my first post, I've been on here for a while though. Anyway, in my crusade of changing all the screws, bolts, fasteners on my Tuono to 316 Stainless steel I managed to strip and break off the bolt which connects the damper arm to the right-side suspension fork. But I then noticed the left fork also has a place one can connect the damper arm to. So what I'm asking is, is this okay (I personally don't see it would make any difference) or is there a reason it was attached to the right fork? Attached is a pic. Let me know!!

    I don't see there being a problem.

There should be nothing there to snag once the nose is back on

Thanks Rizla... I didn't think so, appreciate the confirmation. Shane OCZ, unfortunately it's night time here in Cape Town and cold to boot. So I'll take another shot tomorrow and post. She looks bloody ugly without her headlight but strangely still bloody mean!

No mate, it's a Chinese copy of a hyperpro.

    Loads of adjustment available.

Brilliant piece of kit and very cheap too.

    Same as this:

Are you happy with it? I bought one to replace the stock one, but didn't install it since not sure whether it will be a real improvement and worrying about reliability.
It seems that you are happy rider? Did you figure it out the best settings for riding (city, secondary roads, highway)?

I have had mine fitted for about a year.

It works exactly as it should do. I have the damping set on click 12 if I remember correctly of 22 or 24 clicks.

Every now and then I check the bolts, but it is all good.

I had the same Chinese steering damper on my Gen 2 until last week, started leaking oil and the action has lost any resistance, only been on the bike for 4 months, the eBay seller doesn't won't respond to my emails, anyways just thought I'd mention getting a good one may be pot luck.

Thanks Daz, will take it into account. Needs regular checking apparently.
