Guzzidiag for Tuono V4, save yourself dealer visits!

Right not sure everyone knows about the power of Guzzidiag.

Its a diagnostic cable that connects to the bike at the back of the bike by the brake light where you lift off the rear seat, its a cable with a plastic cap on you need to remove, same as where dealers plug the PADS in to.

    You need one of these:

Fiat , Alfa Romeo or Lancia 3 Pin OBD to 16 Pin OBD2 Adaptor Diagnostic Cable | eBay

    and one of these:

AutoDia K409 Interface USB VAG KKL OBD 2 VW Audi Seat Skoda Diagnose Software | eBay

You then need to download the guzzidiag software to your laptop:

    GuzziDiag

Once downloaded choose California 1400 as your bike, plug the cables in, connect to battery and you are away.

This allows you to do throttle learning, handle learning, read faults, clear faults, check tps, and loads more.

Why would you not want it? could save you a trip to a dealer and
Thanks from Rizla, RobTheRadish and Blade

Is the throttle learning, handle learning easy enough to do?

    Robbie.

    Even I could do it

It literally does it for you. You click on throttle learning and it will cycle the throttle bodies to re calibrate them. You don't do anything other than start the program, plug your bike and laptop in, turn your ignition on and click a few buttons.

Excellent piece of freeware, although like I did you can donate to the developer as he is adding more and more functions all the time.

    Good question.

What laptop you got windows or mac?

Windows needs 64bit version, you may have to try a couple as I have forgot which I installed

scroll down the page and you see:

    "FTDI Driver Windows"

try one of those downloads, I think the 64bit one is the one you will need but may have to download a couple.

Hi guys this seems like a great to have... can you confirm what software needs to be downloaded?

On the linked Guzzidiag webpage I think above says (for a windows PC) I need to get "FTDI Driver/Trailer" and select Windows version (no option of 32 or 64bit given?) to download then run that file. Is that the only software needed ?

    Thanks

    Ken

Just need to download the relevant software from here:

    GuzziDiag

This guy does this in his spare time so if you use it chuck him some or $$$.

I dont think it will be long before more functions come out such as enabling and disabling ABS/QS/TC and clearing faults in the CLF.

Have got the cables and software as per Dan's message (thanks)...having a senior moment and cannot find the connector on my bike. The only likely candidate is small white connector under the pillion seat with 3 pins but that does not seem to match the cable set? What should I be looking for ?? Thanks

There should be a blanked off connector under the pillion seat.

It is a three pin female connector with a black cap on it.

if it wasn't pissing down I would pop out and take a photo for you.

Can someone do a write-up on how to use the software with photos? Show the plug and screen shots of the software. Thanks in advance.

Right, presuming you have the cables and have the Guzzidiag uploaded on your laptop this is how to use it:

Apologies this is my first "how to vid".

Also did a quick vid on how to clear/view faults on your dash when you get a SERVICE or URGENT service message (still uploading):
