    Exclamation What is a dealbreaker?

    Hey.

Looking at a bike, front tyre has unusual wear.

    Called the dealership.

Have the v5, they have been servixing it, but haven't stamped the book. Lost the service record due to updating systems. So no service history.
Why is the tyre damaged? - This was due to 1 track day.. (back tyreo is brand new).

Bike is being sold on behalf of the customer. So I am guessing no warranty or anything.

    Dealership is for sale.

So my question to you on this here forum - how many flags have to be raised- is this too dodgy?

Price has to reflect the condition and level of back up I guess
    front tyre easily replaced
lack of service history price drop
dealer for sale price drop no back up

    MOT?
    HPI report?

If your mechanically competent and can service repair and judge the bikes condition buy it cheap and enjoy it, If you reliant on the dealer support and its retail money walk away. The fact that yopu have raised the question on here tells me you're in doubt anway.

What is the bike, age, condition, mileage, price etc, I understand if you dont wan to divulge this on the forum?

Stay away, unless it is half the book price.
Sounds like its been thrashed on a track & may not have been looked after, which will spell problems at a later date.

2005 factory in rocket center, 5700. So a bit steep. Thanks for all the advice. Bike looks mint(14500 miles) and I wont be precious. I'm a glutton, if I see something I want it, just want to know if I'm being stupid.

Always had my heart set on an 05/04 factory. Bug not ridden a v4 yet, don't really have money for that. Got about 5grand and a 2003 to sell or trade in.Am in Glasgow, but can travel anywhere for a good bike.

Thanks, but had a gen2, I preferred the tuoldo, but could be convinced to try a gen 2 factory. I've been reading about the v4s and have been put off that, so a gen 1 or 2 factory. Unless I can find a test drive on a duke or a triple.

I do want to eventually try one, but have been put off by its racy-ness. Heard you have to wring it and it doesn't do well just kicking about. That's partially what i dint like so much about the gen2 too, the gen 1 is gruntier and more comfortable. Will try the v4 one day, and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

Didnt know the Rocket Centre was for sale....... but a quick credit check shows the last set of filed accounts from Dec 2015 show a negative net worth of 1.6m !

    https://companycheck.co.uk/company/0...TED/financials

Would be wary of giving a company with those figures any money (without more details / info) for a bike that they "dont own"

    Jus my 2p
