    Big service

I dropped the prilla off at my local bike shop (The Bike Depot Worksop), I am having the big service carried out even though she has only covered 11.600 miles.

I've been a customer for over 30 years, Nigel the owner is a biker himself and prides himself in the service they provide.

There are people out there who will say you should have your prilla serviced at a Aprilia dealer and they are possibly correct, but the Bike depot are closer than the Sheffield Via Moto dealership, which is a very nice shop I may add.

I thought about carrying out the valve adjustment my self, but the front cylinder looks a bit of a nightmare to access and being a bit lazy I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle.

One of the things I like about the Bike Depot is they use Putoline oils and always have done, a good oil. Putoline Nanotech fully synthetic is going into my prilla.

Set for the summer get in

    Felix,
oil is a matter of opinions, due to the make up of fully synthetic I would say overall the benefits out weigh the down side if any.

Plenty of information available on the oils on the internet, all I will say is whatever the mechanical application car bike tractor lawn mower marine engine stick with the manufacturers recommendations.

Don't use semi synthetic in my v twin 11 years old and never had a clutch slip.

Fully synthetic and change annually. The fully has better heat dissipating qualities helps stator life in my opinion.
